The multi-award winning ‘Festival Of Thrift’ is to be held this weekend, 22nd and 23rd September, from 10am to 5pm, at the Kirkleatham Estate in Redcar.
Visitors are invited to make, see, eat, shop, play, relax and learn with the jam-packed programme of activities and entertainment located in the unique venue of Kirkleatham Museum and Grounds.
There will also be a launch party and parade on the Friday night, which will be a creative and energetic celebration of music, performers and entertainment.
There will be over 150 stalls at the event, selling all manner of thrifty, upcycled and recycled goods, delicious food and drink, as well as a few surprises along the way.

As part of the event’s thrifty aims, people are encouraged to use public transport. Kirkleatham is on a cycle route with plenty of cycle parking on site and information is provided on the festival website. There is a bus service (81 and 81A) running every 10 minutes from Redcar Central Station, served by Northern Rail.
Admission is free, with parking, if you need to arrive by car, available for £5.
