When Redcar couple Justin and Lindsey Hodgson arrived in Fuerteventura for a well earned, carefree, sunshine break, little did they know what was about to unfold back home in the UK.
The couple travelled to the sunshine island in the knowledge that daughter Paige was six months pregnant and all the family were looking forward to welcoming a newborn into the world in fourteen weeks time.
Lindsey and Justin’s holiday had to be cut short and they returned to Redcar early. Daughter Paige had given birth to daughter Rosie-Mae fourteen weeks prematurely.
Rosie-Mae is now at home and mum and baby are doing well.
Grandma Lindsey, grandad Justin and uncle Jordan will be running in The Great North run in September to raise funds for the Ickle Pickle Partnership which is a charity that turns gifts from generous people to help purchase specialised equipment, such as incubators and ventilators, to help Neonatal units provide incredible levels of care to premature and sick babies.
