Members of ‘Sisters ‘R’ Doing It’, Redcar’s all female running group, recently took part in the 5k and 10k MoRun in Newcastle, in support of the charity – the Movember Foundation.
The power of MoRunning brings out the best in people. Whether it makes you run fast, run in pride or run together, it has the ability to make people smile, whilst at the same time help raise massive awareness and funds for men’s health through supporting charity partner, the Movember Foundation.
MoRunners are part of a community, a family, a team. When they stepped up to the start line they were helping men live longer, healthier lives.
The members of ‘Sisters ‘R’ Doing It’ ran hard, ran fast, had fun and enjoyed being part of something special.
The Movember Foundation is the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, all year round, addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. In 13 years, they’ve funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world. By 2030, they aim to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.
