‘Sisters ‘R’ Doing It’ – Achieving Their Fitness Goals

Members of Redcar’s ‘Sisters ‘R’ Doing It’ running group participated in the 35th Redcar Half Marathon and Beacon 5k at the weekend, and were running and supporting one another to help achieve their fitness goals.

Some have come a long way in such a short time, from not exercising at all to gaining the confidence and fitness to be able to participate in the annual half marathon event.

Ladies of all ages are most welcome to join one of the fantastic running groups to help yourself get fit and healthy! Join like-minded ladies and run together. New groups are enrolling now. Go along and see what they are all about. This is a great way to get started with running fitness.

The 10 week programme is designed for women only, to teach you the knowledge and techniques to run from complete beginner level to three miles. Even if you are unfit and have never run before, the ‘SRDI’ groups can help you get started, giving you sensible advice, support and company while you run.
